Invasive Weed Management Consultants

As Invasive Weed Management Consultants, we not only take the stress out of dealing with these unwanted weed species but we also ensure our clients fully comply with legislation.

This is achieved through a phased approach initially starting with site survey and appraisal. Once the nature of the problem is understood management plans are written, specifications developed and contractors procured. PBA then supervise the remediation contract providing a fully documented record of all work completed.

According to the Government  Regulatory Position Statement 178 on Invasive Non-native Plants “You must have a management plan which sets out how you’ll dig up, treat or bury the [invasive weed] material to prevent further growth or spread beyond the site”  Therefore effective management of land blighted by invasive non-native plants  requires expertise in invasive weed control and removal methodology.

At PBA we believe that an applied approach is needed to deal with weeds such as Japanese knotweed, Himalayan Balsam or Giant Hogweed using recognised control measures selected to meet the demands of a specific site. In our experience, a textbook approach is just not good enough.

That is why our industry recognised consultants and qualified surveyors are constantly busy providing, fully specified management plans for the control and removal of invasive plants.

Our major strength is our ability to combine project management and procurement services for contract delivery. This gives our clients the ability to get work carried out to the highest of standards adopting industry best practice while being financially competitive.

To date, our success has been founded on our overarching desire to develop robust site relative solutions that meet our client’s objectives and budgets.
